Daily Intel brings us a report on the villainous Shashank Tripathi, who, under cover of anonymity, knowingly sent out fake tweets about Hurricane Sandy. Among his gems was falsely claiming that there were Con-Ed workers trapped in a facility, and that the company planned to shut down power to all of Manhattan. These strike me as a fairly clear-cut acts of evil. I don't know what else you call the attempt to incite mayhem in the midst of a natural disaster.
But I also don't think every act of evil should be prosecuted.
