Fact-Checking's Got Nothing To Do With It

More

Again, via Gawker, (hey, when you're hot...) CNN launches yet another investigation of Obama's birth-certificate, revealing--again--that Obama was born in Hawaii. Expect this investigation to convince about four people, total. This is one of the reasons why I never totally bought the notion that the media was responsible for the "Obama's a Muslim" belief, or any number of conspiratorial thoughts which haunt large sections of the American mind.

People, very often, believe what they want and then attach those "facts" which help them along in those beliefs. If you believe CNN is just another tool of the corrupted lamestream media, why would you believe any of their "investigations?"

The question isn't "Is Obama a citizen?" It's "Why does a large swath of America, virtually all of it conservative and white, believe that Obama isn't a citizen?"
