Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. I have no idea what to think about this. I wish I had a better sense of whether Joel Klein's tenure was a success, or not. I wish I had a better sense of what actually happened here in regards to test scores. And lastly, as we've discussed before. I wish I heard more about schools besides test scores. If kids in your school are less likely to drop-out, get pregnant or end up in jail, I'd say that's worth something.
