Hurricane Earl seems to be petering out, and so are Matt Drudge's headlines: Hurricane Palin (there's a Category 5 disaster) has supplanted poor Earl. Nevertheless, my call for Drudge-worthy headlines yielded some good ones. The winners:
"THE SPOOK OF EARL" ... "EARL UNFURLS DEADLY WHIRL" ... "SEACLOPS" ... "EARLPOCALYPSE" (received twice) ... "SKY MONSTER!" (very Drudge-y, could include a siren) ... "VACATION ANNIHILATION!" ... but I think the most likely to interest Drudge is this one:
"EARL BEARS DOWN ON MARTHA'S VINEYARD. OBAMA'S FAULT?"
