Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. Emerged with a purpose, if not a degree. Slowly migrated up the East Coast with a baby and my beloved, until I reached the shores of Harlem. Wrote some stuff along the way.

Dean folds. I thought these guys were better than this. I am not encouraged by the notion that this isn't "a real issue." People vote for all kinds of reasons. I don't expect to speak for anyone else, but it's very hard for me to muster any enthusiasm for a party that endorses broad societal bullying. More than that it's very hard for me to endorse a party that will say to the American people, "Don't think too much."

The past year has really exposed Howard Dean.
