On the heels of his acclaimed revamping of the Volkswagen Beetle, Mays joined Ford in the late 1990s and turned heads with energetic re-imaginations of icons like the Mustang and Thunderbird. Now, as the company's chief designer, he's unveiling its new concept for the sport utility vehicle, the Vertrek.
