Special Report: How Genius Works Principals in ROMA Design Group, a San Francisco-based architectural and landscape design firm, Fisher and Dramov are renowned for creating livable urban spaces. In 2000, they won the international design contest to create the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, scheduled to open on the National Mall this August. Here, they describe the project, explaining how their thinking evolved, and walking viewers through the process they use to build powerful and lasting art.
