The Economy Summit

The Economy Summit

March 18, 2014
Washington, DC, District of Columbia

New budget deals and future standoffs, transatlantic and transpacific trade liberalizing efforts, and economy-shaking policy debates have made the U.S. and global economic scene one of tension and consequence. The U.S. economy remains fragile with high joblessness and anemic levels of investment with much of the rest of the world mired in problems as well. While the picture is not all bleak, fundamental debates about the right mix of economic strategies and regulatory policies continue.

The Atlantic’s 2014 Economy Summit gathered today’s leading thinkers and policy practitioners on the budget, private and public debt, finance, investment in jobs, infrastructure and nextgen tech, and international trade.
