Kristen Miglore left her very reasonable career
in economic analysis to work in food media in 2007. She has since
earned a culinary degree from ICE and a Master's in Food Studies from
NYU, where she was pleased by how much of her work involved scouring
19th-century newspapers, eating pizza, and writing all about it.
A sometime Californian, she now writes, edits, and tests recipes
from her sixth-floor New York City walk-up apartment. She is currently
the Editor of
food52.com, a spirited online food community, blog, and curated crowd-sourced cookbook. Her work has also appeared in
Saveur,
The Wall Street Journal,
Restaurant Business, and
The Martha Stewart Show.
