Before taking over the legendary restaurant, she was a food journalist for magazines and newspapers and authored several books, including Jenifer Lang Cooks For Kids: 153 Recipes and Ideas for Good Food That Kids Love to Eat, as well as serving as the editor of the English edition of Larousse Gastronomique.
