Orbital View: A Flood Devastates Southern Nigeria

The Benue and Niger Rivers appeared as thin ribbons of dark blue when Terra photographed them on October 20, 2008. They were bloated, raging forces of nature four years later--flooding on the two rivers has displaced 1.3 million people, and killed over 400, since July.
