Two Minor But Astonishing Aspects of the Bin Laden Story

Osama Bin Laden 1. Bin Laden apparently had no Arabs around him when he died. The assumption was always made that he would have a team of Arab bodyguards. Obviously, a sizable number of Arabs in Abbottabad would draw attention. Perhaps this is the explanation.

2. Bin Laden, as the revised American account has it, was unarmed at the time he was killed. He would have had plenty of time to arm himself as the American raid progressed, and yet he didn't. Why? Was he acquiescing to martydrom? If so, why did he put up physical resistance, as the new American account has it?
