Orbital View: Wildfire Smoke Over the Mediterranean

Via NASA's Aqua satellite: Last month, the Greek island of Chios was struck by wildfires that had smoke plumes billowing south over the Mediterranean sea. By August 21, local news sources were reporting that nearly 13,000 hectares of land had been burnt in the fire.
