With Friends Like Mubarak, Who Needs Enemies?
By
The Mubarak regime is apparently using anti-Semitism in its campaign against democracy protesters and journalists:
Egyptian state television has actively tried to foment the unrest by reporting that "Israeli spies" have infiltrated the city - which explains why many of the gangs who attack reporters shout "yehudi!" ("Jew!").Of course, the Mubarak regime has for years allowed the crudest expressions of anti-Semitism to be made in state-run publications, so this isn't a surprise.
