Live From Washington: The Atlantic's Food Summit

By Daniel Fromson

Our live video feed of a day of panels and interviews devoted to the future of food, sustainability, food safety, and more

Food2011_header_wide.jpg
Featuring everyone from sustainable food guru Alice Waters to White House chef and public health advocate Sam Kass to genetically modified food advocates like Nina Fedoroff of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the latest incarnation of The Atlantic's Food Summit is taking place from 8:30 to slightly after 2:30 today at the Ronald Reagan International Center in Washington, D.C. We're livestreaming the event (video embedded below), which will include panels and interviews touching on topics ranging from food safety to how to feed a growing global population (with, undoubtedly, the near-obligatory and perhaps heated debate over the role of biotechnology. Full disclosure: This year's Summit is sponsored in part by the Council for Biotechnology Information).

So without further delay, here's the video, with the day's full schedule pasted below. The video should begin streaming sometime around 8:30 EST.
