According to New Orleans legend, the first cocktail ever created was the Sazerac, which was made in the old city by an apothecary. This Sazerac-inspired drink honors Phil Greene, treasurer and co-founder of the Museum of the American Cocktail.

    • 2 ounces brandy
    • ½ ounces simple syrup
    • dash lemon juice
    • dash lemon bitters
    • dash absinthe

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain over fresh ice into chilled cocktail glass.
