George Konkoly-Thege More

George Konkoly-Thege is a Hungarian freelance photographer who was born in Pécs. His work has been exhibited around the world, most recently at the Nehru Centre in London. He has been widely published in magazines, newspapers, and books. His most recently photographed book was Food Wine Budapest (Little Bookroom). When he is not on the road--as he is much of the time--he lives in Budapest, in an apartment just a few steps from the Danube. Check out his Web site for more.

An old woman walked into the café a few years ago with a bag full of what might have looked like junk to anyone else but Éliás. "I heard that you buy every kind of rubbish," she said, and pulled out that little glass box which had eluded Éliás for so long. "After 44 years the coffee grinder finally met with the drawer again."
