March Is Short-Story Month at #1book140

By Jeff Howe

1book140_icon.JPG 1book140 readers voiced support for both poetry and short stories this coming month, but I think we might be best served by holding poetry for the spring, the most romantic of seasons. Also: I love short stories, and according to a bunch of smart people, they're having a renaissance right now. (According to other smart people, that's hyped-up poppycock.)

I'm still torn between having a month devoted to contemporary short fiction, or a mix of contemporary and classics. I leave that to us to decide over the next few days. Let's take until Friday for nominations, then we'll hold a vote over the weekend. Sorry to be running late this month.
