Track of the Day: 'You Know Me'

Past Tracks

It's tough to trace what roots "You Know Me" might have grown from: The stark, alpine harmonies and crisp guitar twangs conjure echoes of the Decemberists, but its hand claps and buzzy bass line call to mind power pop. The Boston-based Air Traffic Controller, named in honor of frontman Dave Munro's real-life service in the U.S. Navy, has only been recording as a band since 2009, but you'd never know it from the poise that this duet exudes. When Munro and female vocalist Casey Sullivan sing in grinning unison, "I know a lot of folks can sing in harmony / But no one will ever know me like you know me," it sounds true.
