A Taxonomy of Sorkinisms

By Ta-Nehisi Coates
I'm very much in the camp of those who think Aaron Sorkin's characters function more like walking bags of witticisms than actual people. Even the stuff people tell me is great ("Sports Night") feels like an attempt resurrect the Algonquin Table.

But given Sorkin's prolific output, I can't decide whether this snarky video is fair. Some of these seem like pretty common phrases. I wouldn't be surprised if you could do the same with David Kelley. Perhaps what grates about Sorkin is that he's held (or holds himself up) as doing something weightier than Boston Legal.
