The Death of Ray Bradbury

By Ta-Nehisi Coates
I haven't read him, and I am surely the poorer for it. The list of authors I've missed is impossible. But nevertheless, I owe Ray Bradbury for this quote from The Paris Review which I thought said so much:

INTERVIEWER

You seem to have been open to a variety of influences.

BRADBURY

A conglomerate heap of trash, that's what I am. But it burns with a high flame.

I think that quote says so much and really captures the beauty of omnivorous intellect. I look forward to hearing your comments below. I'd like to hear more of what I so obviously missed.
