Track of the Day: 'The Walk'

By Brendan Hasenstab

Past TracksMayer Hawthorne's second album, How Do You Do, is out now, and to celebrate he's got a wonderful old-school single out with one of the most unnerving videos in recent memory. The track itself tells the story of Mayer reaching the end of his rope with an unnamed female. Yes, there are many things he still appreciates about her. But these positives are more than outweighed by the negatives, so he's telling her to take a hike. Now, the video plays out as if it was directed by John Woo. (He of Hard Boiled and The Killer among other films.) Both Hawthorne and the brunette are packing heat, and let's just say they don't hold back. Guess that's one way to end a relationship!
