"C-Y-M-O-T-R-I-C-H-O-U-S," Sukanya Roy, a 14-year-old eighth grader from Pennsylvania, spelled out to win the 84th Scripps-Howard National Spelling Bee on Thursday night. The winning word, which means "having wavy hair," marked the end of a grueling final round of competition, where the last five contestants spelled 21 consecutive words correctly.
