From posters to opening credits, movie art has deteriorated over the decades. The artful opening credits and abstract designs of yesteryear have been replaced with gaudy CGI-laden scenes and unimaginative posters showcasing the stars, rather than a movie's themes.

The newest X-Men movie will likely fall prey to this trend. But at least one fan hopes the creators will go in a different, more retro direction. Vimeo user Joe D! put together this classy, Saul Bass-esque credits sequence, which includes a rendition of the '90s X-Men theme song and harkens back to classic superhero and James Bond openers.
