Radiohead Announces Digital Release of Newest Album, 'Kings of Limbs'

Post Grammy awards, Radiohead announced the digital release of its newest album, Kings of Limbs. Unlike their previous album, "In Rainbows"--which fans could purchase for as much (or as little) as they liked--a digital copy of "Kings of Limbs" will cost either $9 for an MP3 format and $14 for the WAV format. And, for those who want more, Radiohead is also offering what they call a "newspaper album," which as the New York Times reports, includes lots of other goodies:

Radiohead is also offering what it calls a "newspaper album" release of "The King of Limbs" (a metaphor that was lost on at least one newspaper employee) which includes two 10-inch vinyl records and a compact disc, as well as "many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a full-color piece of oxo-degradable plastic to hold it all together." This release is sold for $48 (for MP3 digital files) or $53 (for WAV), and will be shipped on May 9, the band said.

The physical album won't be available until May, but fans can download a digital copy and order the "newspaper album" package on the album site.
