Sweden's pop princess Robyn has written more top-drawer songs about heartbreak over the last year than anyone I can think of. And she's still taking it out on the nearest dance floor. On Body Talk Pt. 1, she went out "Dancing on My Own," and on Body Talk Pt. 2, she held out a bit of hope to a possible romantic partner in "Hang With Me." In this first track from Pt. 3, it looks like the rebound is over. She's back on her own two feet, a bit braver this time.
"And I never was smart with love/I let the bad ones in/And the good one's go/But I'm going to love you like I've never been hurt before," she cries over a busy synth burble. "I'm going to love you like I'm indestructible."
Yes, I must admit the first thing I thought of when I heard this was La Roux's "Bulletproof." But that track is pure defiance. Robyn, on the other hand, has regrets. But this guy's worth the risk, and Robyn's going all-out. Sure hope he knows how lucky he is.
