Playlist of the Day: How To Make It In America (The Mixtape)

Promoted as the Manhattan version of Entourage, How to Make It In America has been stirring up quite a bit of buzz, especially in the music world, thanks to a Mr. Scott Mescudi. Better known as the LA-based rapper named Kid Cudi, the artist's involvement with the show has created a lot of hype around HBO's latest series, which follows a group of twentysomethings trying to make it in the garment business.

In honor of the series premiere earlier this month, Kid Cudi and DJ Green Lantern came out with How to Make It In America: The Mixtape, an eclectic mix featuring everyone from rapper Jadakiss to electro-pop duo Chromeo. It's worth a listen, even if you haven't had the chance to watch the show—just try and resist playing Aloe Blacc's brilliant "I Need a Dollar" on repeat.
