Jacqueline Bisset's acceptance speech at the Golden Globes was alternately bizarre and wonderfully kooky. So what was going through her head prior to the announcement? Well, she was thinking about food.
"I'm thinking, where the hell—why didn't I get my dinner," she said during an appearance on Queen Latifah's talk show via The Hollywood Reporter. "They'd given me a little sandwich but the closed the kitchen." Apparently, the Golden Globes aren't full of free flowing booze and grub, especially if you spend two-and-a-half hours on the red carpet like Bisset did. Bisset, who won a supporting actress prize for miniseries Dancing on the Edge, also explained that she was confused as to when her category would be announced.
As for her actual speech, which was marked by long pauses, she explained that wanted to thank "the people that have given me joy and the people who had given me grief." Pain, she said, "feeds your instrument." However, that's not exactly what came out. "But then it got twisted up, and I thought, 'Where is this coming from?'"
