Track of the Day: 'Work'

Past TracksCan you imagine a house-music banger from technopop stalwarts Hot Chip? Well, in part, that is what I'm offering you today. Joe Goddard, a member of that group, is one half of The 2 Bears, and pal Raf Rundell is the other. These two bears met back in 2009, as DJs at a soundsystem party, and they almost immediately started working on tunes for this project. In the current economy, with its lingering unemployment everywhere, and European debt crisis, it's fun to run across a song like this: an ode to the joys of a steady job. And few will move you the way this one does.
