Track of the Day: 'Ritual Union'

Past TracksGothenburg's Little Dragon put out their third album, Ritual Union, a few weeks ago, mining a seam in pop that sounds both utterly current and yet also quite a bit like pop radio from another planet. There are flashes of so many styles in this song--R&B, drum-and-bass, a very dubby low-end, and ghostly, playful keyboard textures. If you don't mind pop with an unusual flavor, this track will intrigue. The video clip itself is drawn from the band's performance at this year's Glastonbury Festival in Somerset England. Yes, Little Dragon is a very real live band. But they essentially play android soul.
