'Spider-Man' Trailer Steals From 'Mirror's Edge'

The trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man reboot that was released yesterday has already caused a bit of controversy in the video game community. Apparently the trailer, particularly it's CGI roof climbing segment, is startlingly reminiscent of a successful 2008 video game.

Gawker video game blog Kotaku caught the similarity and compared the two:

The new Spider-Man movie trailer is cool. It's also a bit familiar to those of us who played and enjoyed the 2008 video game Mirror's Edge. How similar? Watch. You might notice some amazing, spectacular coincidences.
