Dallas Mavericks Win First NBA Championship

More

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in Game Six of the NBA Championships last night, 105-95, securing the team's first national title. The win also gives first championships to two of Dallas' veteran stars, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd.

The Mavericks' performance in Game Six was remarkable for its team effort. As SportingNews describes, the squad did not rely on Nowitzki for victory:

Jason Terry was outstanding, with 27 points on 11-for-16 shooting. J.J. Barea added 15 points and Shawn Marion had 12.
