9 Things to Watch For Next TV Season

All four major networks unveiled their lineups for the 2011-12 TV season within the past week. There were mass casualties involved—R.I.P. Brothers and Sisters; Perfect Couples, we hardly knew ye. But an ambitious offering of new series have been picked up, some we already knew about—a Charlie's Angels reboot; Fox's Terra Nova, simultaneously about dinosaurs and the future—and others which have made a big impression with their trailers—Zooey Deschanel's odd-yet-uproarious The New Girl.

What do we have to look forward to? From an abundance of reality contestants singing Celine Dion ballads to lots of funny ladies, here are the nine trends that will influence your TV viewing habits in the next year.
