Kneel Before Zod

More

It's really cool to see that Zod is going to be in the new Superman film, but his inclusion led me through the Wikipedia wormhole to Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. I knew Donner had a falling out with his producers before Superman II and was subsequently booted, but I didn't realize the extent to which the film had been changed, nor that a Donner version has since been released.

It's wild because the original Superman II is easily my favorite among the older superhero movies. It's probably my second favorite all-time (sandwiched between Batman Begins and Spiderman.) But apparently fans have long thought it was an inferior film. I'm ordering the Donner version today. Can't wait to see it.
