After 25 years of co-hosting Live With Regis and Kelly (and Kathie Lee before it), Regis Philbin announced he will be retiring from the morning talk show later this year. "This will be my last year on this show," he said. "It was the biggest thrill of my life. Philbin, who is 79, began his career on TV in the '50s, teaming up with Kathie Lee Gifford for their talk show in 1985. He has also hosted the popular game shows Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Million Dollar Password, and America's Got Talent. In 2004, Philbin set the Guinness World Record for most hours on camera, clocking in at 15,188—and still counting. Live will continue on after his departure with a new co-host for Kelly Ripa, who has sat alongside Philbin for the past ten years.
