Twitter released its list of top trending topics for 2010 this week, offering insight into what the microblogging service's 200 million users were talking about this year. We examined the topics—which were broken down into the categories of news events, people, movies, sports, hashtags, television, technology, and World Cup, along with the overall top tends list—for what they could tell us about our favorite subject: pop culture.
