Prince William and Kate Middleton Engaged: LIFE Photos

Prince William of England and Kate Middleton are engaged to be married, his father, Prince Charles, announced on Tuesday. The couple has been together for nearly a decade, prompting years of speculation about when they would marry. LIFE magazine produced a gallery of photos from their relationship.
