Track of the Day: 'Angel Dance'

Past TracksI'm sure Zep-heads will put a hit out on me for saying this, but Robert Plant gets cooler with every cover song and rock fusion album he records.

How do you beat Raising Sand, his duet album with bluegrass diva Alison Krauss? Cover Los Lobos. I've always been a late adopter and for that reason I love this classic (on the young side of elderly) rocker's brand-new remake of "Angel Dance," a sublime wake-up-and-dance song from an epic '70s Chicano/Tex-Mex rock band.

Ok, in full disclosure, I may still prefer the original a little bit but I really, really appreciate Plant's taste in music partners. I hope he lives to be 100 to provide quality control on Lady Gaga's '00 retrospective.
