Weird Emmy Nominations, Cont'd: Letterman's Extortionist Gets One, Too

Sarah Palin's make up artist, Conan over Leno, and now another eyebrow-raising Emmy nominee surfaces. Joe Halderman, the former CBS producer now serving jail time for extorting Dave Letterman, received a nomination for producing an episode of the news program 48 Hours Mystery:

Halderman's work for CBS News won seven Emmys. Now he's among the nominees for "American Girl, Italian Nightmare," a CBS "48 Hours Mystery" about the case of Amanda Knox, an American imprisoned in Italy for the murder of a British student.
