'Mad Men': Based on the Classic Comic Series?

Mad Men: Based on the Classic Comic Series. It sounds absurd, but the AMC drama, whose fourth season starts on Sunday, is maybe based on an early 1960s comic strip, called Those Madison Avenue Men!. The strip was wildly unpopular, running for only 43 weeks and syndicated in only eight newspapers. Vanity Fair, however, has four surviving strips of the long-lost comic:
