Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. Emerged with a purpose, if not a degree. Slowly migrated up the East Coast with a baby and my beloved, until I reached the shores of Harlem. Wrote some stuff along the way.

Man, this LCD Soundsystem record is in heavy rotation at the crib. Easily my favorite this year, and gradually moving up the ranks of my favorite over the last few years.  That said, I have no idea why "Drunk Girls" was the first single. There's obviously no accounting for taste, but to me, it's the least interesting song on the album.

Anyway, "Home," like most of the record, is murderous.
