Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. Emerged with a purpose, if not a degree. Slowly migrated up the East Coast with a baby and my beloved, until I reached the shores of Harlem. Wrote some stuff along the way.

But Why Even Ponder Passing...

Why indeed. Kurt Warner's done. Put his ass in the Hall. I don't know if I've ever seen a quarterback have a second act like Warner's. Cunningham almost did it with the Vikes, and I really wish he had, because I think had they beat the Falcons, he had a shot at a Super Bowl and then the Hall. Now he's simply in the Hall of the Very Good. But Kurt Warner deserves it.

And just for kicks, I'm replaying Paul Allen's radio call. Hilarious. It's like watching an epic poem unfold in haiku form.
