Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. Emerged with a purpose, if not a degree. Slowly migrated up the East Coast with a baby and my beloved, until I reached the shores of Harlem. Wrote some stuff along the way.

Heh. Talk of Pryor below got me trolling through some of my favorite clips. Here's Pryor doing Obama before Obama. What I love about this clip is the pacing--the longer he talks the "blacker" he gets. It's like that with a lot of black professionals. In the office they've got the second "white" voice going, and then you get a few drinks in them and MLK Boulevard comes out. But we've discussed this before. And seen this clip before. Still, was cool to re-watch. Dig all the cameos in here also--I think that's Marsha Warfield. Definitely Tim Reid a little later.
