Born in 1975, the product of two beautiful parents. Raised in West Baltimore—not quite The Wire, but sometimes ill all the same. Studied at the Mecca for some years in the mid-’90s. Emerged with a purpose, if not a degree. Slowly migrated up the East Coast with a baby and my beloved, until I reached the shores of Harlem. Wrote some stuff along the way.

To Be The Man...

I finished off my last night in Detroit watching the Royal Rumble from 1991. Man that brought back memories. It's cool because it's the moment when the 80s generation of wrestlers are starting to meet to the next generation. Didn't realize how long The Undertaker had been around. Rick "The Model" Martel did work. As Did Greg Valentine, Tito Santana, and the British Bulldog (Wasn't that a tag team at first? I used to get them confused with the Killer Bees.)

Here's the promo from 92 actually. Ric Flair is one of the greatest performers I've ever seen. I can't wait to show this to my kid.
