How can he NOT be on this list?? He is most definitely among the most influential religious leaders in American history.

He was spiritual advisor to Presidents from the 50's thru the year 2000,  He influenced millions of Americans to follow christian Ideals and brought the Message of the Gospel to many Nations. He inspired people to embrace traditional values and served as a national, spiritual rudder for a Christian nation that tends to go off course occasionally.  He preached love and acceptance of all people in all circumstances across all boundries, and offered eternal hope to all who would listen. At the same time he took only a salary from his ministry and could never be accused of violating the trust people placed in Him.  He never claimed any fame for himself but claimed only to be a spokesman for the christian Faith.

He lead a huge revival in our country and millions sought him out to hear the word of God.
