puzzler grid

An oft-viewed sight is on display in this puzzle's shaded central word square, in which the five-letter Acrosses are the same as the five-letter Downs. Four clue answers gain partial entry into the shaded square, supplying a few of its letters; otherwise, the border of the inner square is not crossed. Four unclued entries provide clues for words in the square; each appears directly before, after, above, or below its matching word. The central word in the square identifies the sight to be viewed; its locale, though perhaps obvious, is suggested by four more unclued entries. When two answers share a row or column, their clues are given in proper order; when an answer shares a row or column with an unclued entry, either may come first. Five clue answers are capitalized.
