The Rove base-mobilization is fueled by this non-story from Kenya, now blasting across Republican media. The subtext is pretty easy to read. I guess we all knew that this card would be played at some point by desperate people, but there was a time when one hoped for more from McCain. I guess that time was last operable in July.
