About the same time we launched "The View From Your Window," Matteo Pericoli published "The City Out Window-booksMy Window," a collection of sketches of New York cityscapes. While the two books share a basic theme, they are very different in many ways.

Pericoli's book consists of drawings by an single artist; our book contains photographs by about 200 Dish readers. It features the windows of celebrities and noted figures; our windows are anonymous. It contains a detailed description of every window scene; ours merely notes the time and location. It was published by a major publishing company, Simon & Schuster; ours was published by us, with the help of a print-on-demand start-up, Blurb.com. Preview Pericoli's book here; preview ours here.
