Dissent Of The Day

A reader writes:

Really? You highlight that post as a responsible statement? Leave aside the fact that "I was a teenage liberal" stories are inherently facile, and always self-serving. Forget the fact that calling yourself a political Taoist should earn this woman a "Poseur Alert of the Year" award. What is her argument, Andrew? Her argument is exactly and only this: there are some annoying people on the left. That's it; it's a 100% logically fallacious argument based on guilt by association. Whatever our discourse needs, it most certainly does not need someone with your visibility and traffic lionizing a woman who didn't articulate a single sound argument about ideas in her entire post. Even if it helps you shore up your rightward flank.
