Vermont's Senate Over-Rides Douglas

The vote was 23 - 5 in favor of civil equality for gay couples. Now the hard part: the House. But Vermont could become the first state to pass marriage equality by legislative vote - over a governor's veto. California's legislature voted for marriage but was twice vetoed (successfully) by Arnold.
